Teacher Bio

Yuhan Mao, a student at LASA High School, has been passionate about dance since the age of six. She has trained in ballet, Chinese dance, and hip-hop for many years. Her love for dance shines both in daily practice and on stage, with performances at events such as Austin Trail of Lights, Lunar New Year, and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. She is also an active member of her school’s hip-hop club.

Yuhan has received multiple awards in the National Chinese Talent Competition, winning second place in Chinese dance duet in 2024 and first place in solo Chinese dance in 2025. Caring and dedicated, she especially enjoys working with children. As a teaching assistant for the Chinese Dance Class at AGWCS, she hopes to inspire younger students to appreciate and love Chinese culture through dance.
