Chess I will be taught by Jeffrey Zheng, a 12th-grade student at LASA High School. Jeffrey has a strong background in chess, having earned top tournament results early on, including a second-place medal, prize money, and reaching a chess rating of 1300. Over the past two years, he has been teaching beginner-level chess at Austin Great Wall Chinese School, where he has gained extensive teaching experience and earned the trust and admiration of both students and parents. In addition to his teaching, Jeffrey is also a dedicated volunteer at local chess clubs such as Pawns to Prodigies Chess Club and Win or Learn Chess Club. Known for his patience, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with young learners, Jeffrey creates an encouraging and enjoyable learning environment where students can build both skills and confidence.
